How to Install: 2013-2018 OEM NISSAN MAXIMA ALTIMA Steering Wheel Shift Shifter Paddle Right Left FITS G37

  1. IMPORTANT: Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait a minimum of 10 minutes before beginning. This disarms the airbag system.
  2. Center the steering wheel (wheels pointing straight) before removal.
  3. Remove the airbag by carefully releasing the retaining clips from behind the wheel — do NOT drop or impact the airbag.
  4. Disconnect the airbag electrical connector.
  5. Mark the steering shaft position with a paint marker for reference.
  6. Remove the center retaining nut (typically 24mm) and pull the wheel off the spline.
  7. Install the new steering wheel onto the spline, aligning with your reference mark.
  8. Torque the center nut to OEM specification.
  9. Reconnect all electrical connectors including horn, airbag, and any wheel controls.
  10. Reinstall the airbag module. Reconnect the battery and verify no warning lights.
  11. Professional installation recommended for first-time installers.
