- Allow the vehicle to cool completely. Lift and support safely on jack stands.
- Spray all catalytic converter and mid-pipe bolts with penetrating oil 20–30 minutes before removal.
- Unbolt the factory catalytic converter or mid-pipe section.
- Install the new test pipe using the factory hardware or the included hardware.
- Torque all bolts to spec.
- An O2 sensor spacer/defouler (sold separately) may be needed to prevent a check engine light.
